Envelopes

We run a dedicated full-color envelope press, and we treat it as a digital press rather than a piece of mailing equipment. That means an envelope can be ordered the way anything else digital is ordered: in the quantity you actually need, in as many versions as the job has, and personalized if the piece calls for it.

Sizes we run regularly: #10 business, plain, window or security tint; #9 and #6 3/4 for reply and remittance; A2, A6 and A7 for invitations and announcements, with the notecards to match; and 6x9, 9x12 and 10x13 booklet and catalog envelopes for anything that will not fold.

Envelopes are rarely ordered on their own. Letterhead and envelopes, a card and its envelope, an appeal with a remittance envelope inside it, an invitation with the outer and the reply - printing them together is what keeps the color, the stock and the schedule consistent. When the job is a mailing, it goes straight to our mailing line rather than out to a truck.
